Walking 100 miles within 1 month

We opened our first refuge in 1976, with the vision of achieving 'a life free from violence and abuse in the home for those affected by it'. We are located in Stroud, Gloucestershire, and offer two women's refuges with support for women and children as well as community based outreach services.

Story

I have embarked on my 100-mile journey this January to raise awareness and support for the Women's Refugee in Stroud - the only charity of its kind in Gloucestershire, providing accommodation and aid to women and children escaping domestic violence.

I walk every day, excluding Sundays (my walking boots needed a little break ha), covering an average of 12 km (7.4 miles). I've already reached my target, but I will continue until the end of January (which we all know as the longest month of the year ha, ha). I hope my friends and family will appreciate my efforts, especially getting out of bed at 6 am (this was real character building ha) and contribute to this worthy cause.
