72 hole golf challenge · 14 June 2024

Each year Friends of the Cancer Centre funds life saving and life changing projects which make a real and positive difference to thousands of cancer patients and their families. The charity relies on donations from the public to be able to support these patients locally and across Northern Ireland.

Story

⛳ 72 hole Golf Challenge ⛳

On Friday 14th June, myself, Peter Houston, Steven Craig and Russell Craig will be completing 4 consecutive rounds of golf. All money raised will be donated to 'Friends of the Cancer Centre' in Belfast.

I have chosen to support this charity as I was unexpectedly diagnosed with Testicular Cancer in December 2019. Two weeks after my diagnosis I was admitted to Altnagelvin Hospital for emergency surgery. Since having surgery I have been under the care of the Cancer Center. I am extremely thankful for the care they have given to me and want to give something back to them.

A special shout out to Peter, Steven and Russell who are willing to take this challenge on with me for the second year running, and to Ballymena Golf Club for kindly allowing us to use the course (third time they have supported me for this type of challenge).

All donations are greatly appreciated.
