Timmy was a very special young man, taken from us all far to young by this cruel disease.

He was an exceptional cyclist who i first came across when i was running some coaching sessions at his primary school in 2008. Tim was super keen and it soon became apparent that he had the potential to be one of the best riders in the country. Over the next few years he continued to flourish and eventually got to ride for the top U23 team 'Zappis Racing Team' where he got to race against the top riders in the world.

When Cancer struck, Tim fought the disease with the same tenacity that he raced his bike.

As his condition deteriorated Young Lives were invaluable and did the most amazing job in making the most challenging of times for Tim and his family as bearable as possible.

It is for this reason that I am running the London marathon again for YoungLivesVsCancer in memory of one of the most special young people I knew.
