Great Scottish Run 2023 · 1 October 2023 ·

Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

I'm raising money for the 2nd year in a row for Alzheimer Scotland after competing in last year's 10k, I had hoped to run the Half Marathon this year but unfortunately, I had a bit of a knee injury which took me out of running for a while so I'm just getting back into it and thought that I'd push myself by running in this year's Great Scottish run 10k again. At this point of writing this, I've only run a handful of times in 2023 so I'm going to start training immediately to get myself back into ideal running shape for October 1st.

Alzheimer Scotland is a very close charity to my heart due to my late gran and granny living with Alzheimer's and I know they'll be proud that I'm raising money for a charity that supported them.
