Team: SCIAF's Silly Cycle

Cycling to work, from Edinburgh to Glasgow · 1 August 2025

Compelled by Christ’s love, we help people in the world’s poorest places to lift themselves out of poverty, work together to protect our common home, and help people recover from disaster.

Story

Mark's Mad Cycle

For years, I've felt guilty about driving to work, especially to SCIAF's offices in Glasgow. So this year, I'm finally doing something about it.

In early August, I'm ditching the car and taking on a 120km cycle from Drem (near Edinburgh) to Glasgow – arriving in time to do a full day's work! It's a mad idea, and I need your support to get me to my desk...

Fundraising for SCIAF

Working for SCIAF is not just a job, it's a vocation and a calling. And it's a charity that, in the face of climate change, conflict and aid cuts, needs people's support more than ever before.

The money raised from this challenge will support SCIAF's current appeal, 'Dignity for all'. It will help people living in Africa, Asia and Latin America access food, clean water and recover from disaster, especially the most vulnerable and those living with disabilities.

Together, through SCIAF, we can offer people living in the world's poorest places real solutions to the challenges they face, and real hope.

Please spare some change to help change the world...
