On 8 August 2025, I will be swimming one mile across the Camel Estuary, from Padstow to Rock, and to raise money to help Marie Curie Nurses continue to care for people at the end of life, whatever the illness.

I have been wanting to do the estuary for a number of years so back in the Autumn 2024 Elliot and I signed up. After a small setback in January we have worked hard going swimming 2 or 3 times a week and have started on our journey visiting Lidos for some cold water swimming.

All the money raised will help Marie Curie provide vital care and support to people living with a terminal illness, and their families at the toughest time.

£3 helps fund a meal for a patient in one of our hospices.

£26 helps help fund an hour of bereavement support by phone or webchat.

£207 helps fund nine hours of overnight nursing care in a patient's home.
