🏢💥 “No Parachute... for a Good Cause!” 💥🏢

This summer, I’ll be swapping spreadsheets for sky-high suspense, and nerves of steel for an actual steel skyscraper... because I’ve somehow agreed to abseil down the iconic Leadenhall Building (yes, the Cheesegrater) in the heart of the City of London! 🧀🧗‍♂️

Why? No, I haven’t taken leave of my senses (yet). I’m doing it to raise money for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal—an incredible charity that’s turning London into a city that’s inclusive, healthy, skilled and fair for everyone.

The Appeal supports FOUR amazing charities:

🌟 MQ Mental Health Research – tackling mental illness through world-class research

🌟 Place2Be – bringing vital mental health services into schools

🌟 OnSide – building Youth Zones to give young people safe, inspiring places to go

🌟 Samaritans – offering a lifeline to people in emotional distress, 24/7

Each one is changing lives right here in our communities, and they need our help to keep going.

So, while you sit comfortably at your desk or enjoy your coffee firmly on ground level, spare a thought (and hopefully a few pounds 💷) for me as I dangle hundreds of feet in the air, clinging to a rope and wondering why I didn’t just bake a cake like a normal person. 🎂😅
