Story

This year I’m taking on the Great North Run in support of the National Autistic Society, a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart.

The last time I ran the Great North Run was in 2015. This time I aim to beat my PB from 2012.

I’m running for my daughter Everly, who is now 6 years old and was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3. She is non-verbal and attends a specialist provision school. Like many families, our life has its ups and downs, and there are times when it feels like a constant fight to make sure she gets the support, understanding and opportunities she deserves.

Despite the struggles, she is absolutely amazing — and so is our family. My wife Rachael and our son Kit are an incredible support, and together we keep pushing forward, doing everything we can to give her the best life possible.

By supporting this run, you’re helping the National Autistic Society continue their vital work supporting autistic children, adults and families. Every donation, no matter how small, really does make a difference.

Thank you so much for your support — it truly means the world to us. ❤️
