Story

Hi

For those of you that aren’t aware here is the story and the reason behind our fundraising:

One of our close friends, Jane Roberts, was hit with devastating news in March 25 that she was diagnosed with brain cancer. She has since learnt it’s inoperable and incurable, but fortunately they believe it to be low grade. So whilst she is currently well we all want to give back to the charity that has helped her navigate this diagnosis and supported her when her world was spun upside down.

She completed the Couch to 5k the week before her diagnosis and has managed to keep up running ever since. Doing a half marathon was something that always felt out of reach for her. So the only thing that got her to agree is fundraising.

There is an amazing team of runners assembled to raise as much money as possible for this fab cause. She is also running in a giant brain costume. Just for extra awareness raising, increased sponsorship and abit of fun!

The team is made up of:

10k team

Joanna Verity

Diane Middleton

Sarah Hayett

The half marathon team

Helen Tuck

Rachel Forbes

Mark Forbes

Anna Gow

Fabi Garay

Jodie Pearce

Janine Greening

Paula Hodder

Michelle Cave

Janet Hathway

Jane Roberts

We would love it if you could sponsor us a few pennies (pounds) to motivate us all along the way. Thank you so much,

Love Jane and the team :-)
