Story
The October 100 is a chance to move with purpose and put all those miles clocked up in training or in a race to good use. Turn those miles into meals, steps into shelter and sweat into hope.
Here's the detail,
Run, walk, bike or swim 100 miles in October (31 days), pledge to raise £100 and be part of the team making real change. A few of us in work are doing this to make help make a difference.
Obviously I would like to raise as much as possible. As part of this walk for Crisis, I have been doing a 1000 mile challenge over 8 months, which I started on the 1st of May. Anyone following me on Strava can see my progress. I have currently clocked 773.50 miles and climbing. I didn't setup a fundraising page for this, but it's time I started raising some money. Please give what you can, even the smallest donations count and is very much appreciated. October will be when I hopefully complete both challenges, 100 miles in 8 months and 100 miles in 31 days of October. I was supposed to do the Glasgow Half Marathon, due to injuries I can't run this, but I will attempt to walk and run it to completion, 13 miles.
Every donation goes to CRISIS, the national charity working to end homelessness. Homelessness isn't inevitable, its solvable.
