This April, I will be running the Manchester marathon in support of Epilepsy Action - a charity that has meant so much to our family over the past 2 years.

What will be almost exactly 2 years ago, our daughter Isabella began having tonic clonic seizures completely out of the blue & has since experienced countless tonic clonic, focal & absence seizures. It's been a journey we never expected, with many scary moments & a lot of learning in between.

Epilepsy Action has been an incredible source of support for us -from helping us understand the many different seizure types & first aid, guiding us on where to buy potentially life saving equipment for her, offering advice for Henry, as coping with a sibling with Epilepsy is difficult, Isabella herself learning to understand what she now lives with, and even supporting us through their helpline when we were struggling with medication concerns.

So, this run isn't just 26.2 miles...it's personal!
