Story
So after a very courageous fight of 2 years my sister in law Sooz lost her battle against this awful disease in July 2023. This left my brother Dan, nephews Finley, Theo and Frankie without a wife/mother.
In typical Sooz style she fought and put up an incredible fight, refusing to give up even in the toughest of times, all the time slowly working her way through her 'f**k it list', suprising all of us at just how much she could do even when confined to her wheelchair! Many of this list was ticked off thanks to the support from this amazing charity The Bowel Movement, because of this it will forever be close to our hearts and is the reason why Dan was so keen to give something back and managed to arrange to get us these places in the bath half with a view to raising money for this amazing cause.
It breaks my heart everyday when i think of Dan not being able to grow old with Sooz and the boys growing up and not having their mum to see all their achievements and be with them all those times when they need her.
Every penny that is raised for every Cancer charity is vital in trying to one day get to the stage where nobody else has to lose their wife/mother/loved ones.
If any money i can raise can help towards the bowel movements objectives then it will be very worthwhile dragging my overweight body around the 13mile course!
Thank you for any donations it really means so much to us all.
Thanks again
Mark
P.s. to borrow a phrase from Sooz 'Fuck you cancer'.
Each year over 2600 young individuals are diagnosed with bowel cancer. Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK and accounts for the second highest number of cancer related deaths per year. We know that early detection and diagnosis is vital, and that bowel cancer is highly treatable and even curable if caught early.
The Bowel Movement seeks to educate people about the key signs and symptoms of bowel and colorectal cancers to ensure that every individual faced with bowel cancer has the best possible chance of survival.
