At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

I’m running the Manchester marathon on Sunday 27th April to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.

My father suffered from dementia in the final years of his life and it was heartbreaking to see him deteriorate from the intelligent, upbeat man he was to someone who barely remembered who I was.

Please, please support me in raising funds for this vital charity.

This is only my second ever marathon - it comes 35 years after running the London Marathon! I’m hoping to better my time from way back then!

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.

We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
