Story
Thank you for taking time to visit my Just Giving page. I aim to raise money in aid of a very good friend and rugby coach Sherwyn Smith who I’ve known for a number of years. Sherwyn was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer in October 2022, he had an operation to remove this in April 2023. Just as he was recovering he received further bad news and he was diagnosed with Liver and Lung Cancer December 2023. Sherwyn has already raised £2127 through the generous support of friends, family and our amazing community, Llangennech. Not only Sherwyn, but a number of people very close to my heart benefitted massively from the chemotherapy unit at Prince Phillip Hospital, including my own mother. Any contribution to a fantastic local charity, to which, unfortunately, so many of our families have needed and continue to need will be much appreciated 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
CHALLENGE:
After my rugby days were over, I started to challenge myself to other events such as Marathons, Triathlons, Ironman in 2019, and more recently the 32 Mile St Illtyds Ultra Marathon.
I always look to challenge myself, and my next challenge will be the toughest yet!! I aim to complete a 50 Mile Ultra Marathon on the Pembrokeshire coast. The challenge starts at Porthgain 07:30 (Saturday, 8th June 2024) and will finish in Dale, Pembroke. This has a cut off time of 16.5 hours to complete, with amazing scenery with some tough hills 😩
