Story
Charlie Dallas Lancaster Foundation fundraises to allow the provision of much needed help and support to organisations and individuals working within the Mental Health and Suicide Prevention sphere.
I was a CDLF beneficiary last year and I genuinely believe it saved my life, so I want to help give back to such an amazing charity.
This year Charlie would have turned 41 and I think it’s a fitting that my challenge is to row 41 miles.
I will be doing this challenge on Saturday 31st May @ Way Head Fitness in Thirsk, starting at 10am until complete. I am predicting the challenge to take between 7-8 hours to complete.
However that is not all that will be taking place, Fred & Bert’s will be there, cake and bake stalls, bouncy castle and face paints throughout the day. From mid afternoon there will be an BBQ and a Bar which will be open until 9pm so once the row is complete we can have a social.
There will also be a Raffle taking place after the row has finished. Tickets will available across several locations in Thirsk and also on the day itself with some great prizes on offer.
There will also be an opportunity for people to come and join me and I believe there has been a great prize for whoever rows the furtherest alongside me.
My aim to make this a day where everyone can come and show support in which ever way they feel they can and help raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention and also raise some money for CDLF.
Thank you for donating and I look forward to seeing you on the day,
Much Love, Mark
