West Wales Poundies is a small registered charity dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in council pounds. After dogs arrive at the pound, the dogs have just 7 days to be claimed by their owners. After the 7 days have passed, if there is space available, they will come into the care of West Wales Poundies Dog Rescue. If there isn't space, they may be destroyed. WWP provide a lifeline to the pound dogs.

Many of the staff are volunteers and depend on your help to save the lives of the pound dogs. It costs a lot of money to look after the dogs as they need bedding, food and veterinary care amongst other things. If you can help by donating, it will help save a life.

I am taking part in a 50- mile ultra marathon in April to help raise these much needed funds. I have never taken on a distance like this before, and it would mean the world to me to be able to help a charity close to my heart

Together let's make sure no dog dies needlessly.
