Surrey Three Peaks Challenge · 1 September 2024 ·

Conquer the 3 highest peaks in Surrey - Leith Hill, Holmbury Hill and Box Hill - and walk 37km (23 miles) to support people living with cancer

Story

On Sunday, 1st September, my Dad and I will be hiking three of the highest peaks in Surrey to raise money for Maggie's at The Royal Marsden!

This challenge will take us on a 23-mile round trip over Box Hill, Holmbury Hill, and Leith Hill—the county’s highest point. As if that wasn’t enough, we’ll be tackling this hike the day after Laura's 50th birthday celebration, so I might also be dealing with a hangover!

The Royal Marsden is a cause close to my heart, as my beloved wife Laura has been receiving treatment there in recent years. Maggie's, the center next door, is a place of refuge, care, and support. The welcoming space, staffed by caring volunteers and experts, has made a tremendous difference in our lives. It’s a thoroughly worthwhile cause that I’m proud to support.
