So, what charity are you raising money for Mark and why? The answer...I am raising money for DeafBlind UK.

DeafBlind UK is a charity I am supporting in memory of my Nan. I lost my Nan in August 2025 at the age of 99. My Nan was hard of hearing for many years until her death and sight in her later years. I want to raise money in memory of her and others that suffer from hearing and sight loss.

I'm a keen runner (now) this hasn't always come so easy, trust me. I started my running journey unfit and over weight. I have progressed and have taken part in many distances right up to ultra marathons but never a Major Marathon. Now DeafBlind UK have given me the ability to run in a major, that all runners know, is a very difficult thing to achieve. I'm hoping the thoughts of my late Nan and the money raised will give me that extra motivation and to help give to those who are facing difficulties in life.

I plan to challenge myself not only to run one of the majors but to complete a sub-3.5 hour Marathon.
