Story
We're raising money on behalf of Bethaney Patterson who has Leigh's mitochondrial disease.
Since being diagnosed in 2015 to now the disease has gradually stripped away a lot of her abilities/functions to the point she's wheelchair-bound and needs full-time care, then in March this year, she had a mitochondrial attack that affected her brain stem and was rushed to the intensive care unit at the RVI Newcastle and put on a life support machine as the attack has affected her breathing, three months on she’s still there and fighting...... UPDATE... This is so difficult for me to update, but my beautiful mitochondrial warrior daughter Bethaney lost her battle against mitochondrial disease and passed away on the 29th of May at the RVI peacefully in the arms of her mam, dad and sister. She fought to the very end and Natalie and I take great comfort that she's free from any more pain and suffering and is flying high with the angels. RIP Bethaney Magen Patterson, you've been an inspiration to everyone.💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🪽🪽🪽🪽🪽🪽🪽🪽
