Mark's fundraiser for Dylan Rich Legacy Fund

Mark Pearson is raising money for Dylan Rich Legacy Fund
In memory of Dylan

Lands End to John o’Groats · 22 June 2026

We work with charity partners which improve access to sport for young people in and around Nottingham; and which support nature conservancy and sustainable employment in Kenya. These are both causes that meant a lot to Dylan and this charity was set up after his death aged just 17 in 2021.

I have been planning to cycle LEJOG for a few years and decided that this is the year! I will be taking the scenic route travelling by van from Nottingham to Lands End then cycling to John o,Groats before returning to Nottingham. 1000 miles on the bike. 900 miles in the van. all within 21 days is the goal.

I have chosen to raise funds for the Dylan Rich legacy fund which is a local charity in memory of Dylan, who played for West Bridgford Colts. Having coached for Colts for many years, the charity is close to my heart. Dylan died of a sudden cardiac arrest while playing for Colts in West Bridgford. He was just 17 years old.

It is my belief that grassroots football is an amazing provision for young people in Nottinghamshire and across the country. It provides the opportunity for young people to exercise and learn how to be together as part of a team. Its values are positivity, inclusivity, fun and exercise.

The Dylan Rich Legacy Fund aims to improve access to sport and physical activity especially where there are barriers to participation. It also aims to support nature conservancy and sustainable employment for local people in Kenya, so 2 great causes!

I’d be massively grateful for any support you can provide.
