Story
I'm taking part in the London Marathon 2026 to raise funds for Compton Care.
The organisation has helped our family immeasurably over the last 12 months.
At the beginning of 2025 my father in law Chris became unwell and was diagnosed with an aggressive form of pancreatic cancer which led to his passing only 3 weeks after diagnosis. It was such a heartbreaking time for our family and so difficult to deal with especially as we welcomed our youngest son Ellis into the world at the same time as losing Chris.
Compton Care provided Chris and the family with invaluable support at the end of his life and have continued to be present ever since.
Chris was a strong minded, incredibly motivated and successful individual. I’m going to use his memory to help me get around the 26.2 mile route in London, hopefully raising some money while I do so.
All donations will be gratefully received from us all as a family and will help Compton Care to continue supporting families in our communities into the future.
