Story
On Saturday 26th September, Mr Snowdon, Mr Morgan, Mr Marland, Mr Johnson and Mr Marin will take on the 44km circuit of Lake Windermere in the Lake District.
This will be our second annual fundraising challenge and our toughest yet. The route covers 44 kilometres and is expected to involve around 12 hours of continuous walking. Covering this distance in a single day will be a significant test of physical endurance, mental resilience and teamwork, particularly over the varied terrain surrounding England's largest lake.
Last year, the team completed The Dragon's Ascent Challenge in the Yorkshire Dales, a demanding 34km hike, raising an impressive £1,326. The money was split between the Bone Cancer Trust and Julia's House Children's Hospice, and this was only possible thanks to the incredible generosity of students, parents, staff and the wider community.
This year, we hope to build on that success and raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK. The charity funds world-leading research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer, helping to improve outcomes and save lives across the UK.
