A few years ago my nan (dad's mum) suffered her final years with dementia, she was always quick whitted and the life of the party but this awful condition replaced that with confusion and frustration. Thankfully she always recognised us until the end even if names became a little interchangeable!

18 months ago my mum was also diagnosed with vascular dementia which has meant vastly reduced mobility and the need of full time care currently given by my dad with some private support. I want to make a small difference to combat this disease while my mum can still comprehend what I'm doing and also show a small sign of support for the millions of heroic family members and friends like my dad giving so much to their loved ones while they navigate dementia!

I'm raising £1000 because this can fund clinical trials to advance research to combat dementia!
