Emily and I are running the Sheffield 10K in September in memory of my Dad, Mark Sharrard. I hope to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice who cared for my Dad following his short and unexpected illness at the beginning of 2024.

St. Lukes Hospice provide care and compassion for patients and families going through one of the hardest times of life, and we want to raise as much money as possible through your donations to support them to continue doing what they do. We cannot thank St Luke’s enough for the care they provided not just my Dad but the whole family throughout his time with them.

My Dad was an inspiration to all, he was a father to five sons as well as a doctor providing care to children all over the North of England with some of the most complex diseases. Dad would always go the extra mile for all those he cared about and his strong but quiet presence has been very sorely missed over the last year and a half.
