Whilst the picture above is probably not the best advert for a heart healthy diet, the medal shows that this isn't my first marathon rodeo. It is however, the first since my Dad passed away in October. He lived with heart condition and was only able to live as long as he did thanks to research and medicine that the BHF fund and support. If you have any spare cash, please consider supporting me as I propel my creaking body, with it's dodgy Achilles, feet and knees, around the streets of Brighton.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target.
