Mark's fundraiser for Action For Pulmonary Fibrosis

Mark Standen is raising money for Action For Pulmonary Fibrosis
In memory of Tricia Standen

I am marching from Middle Wallop to Wingerworth Church, where my mum is laid to rest—wild camping along the way. Around 200 miles over 6–7 days, starting 1 August 2026.

Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis (APF) is a national charity that supports everyone affected by pulmonary fibrosis through information and support, raises awareness of this devastating lung condition, and funds vital research to improve treatment, find a cure, and bring hope for the future.

Story

This fundraiser is in memory of my Mum (Tricia Standen) and my Uncle (Philip Revell) who bravely battled with this illness. My Mother was all about people and was universally loved by everyone, this fundraiser will be a small way of honouring her legacy. My mums passing has left a huge void in many peoples lives, she was generous and caring to everyone. More awareness and research is needed to combat this awful disease. Thankyou.

Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis (APF) is a growing community of patients, families, researchers and healthcare professionals striving to find a cure for pulmonary fibrosis so that everyone affected by the disease has a better future. We provide personalised support to patient and families - and raise awareness of pulmonary fibrosis through campaigning, fundraising and education. We are also committed to funding research to improve the quality of life for people living with pulmonary fibrosis today and tomorrow.
