Why I’m Running the London Marathon
I’m excited (and a bit nervous!) to take on the London Marathon, and I want to share why this means so much to me. A few years ago, I lost my father-in-law, Dr. Kevin Gorton, to brain cancer. His fight inspired me to get involved and make a difference.
Brain tumours are a silent killer, taking the lives of more kids and adults under 40 than any other cancer. Shockingly, just 1% of the national cancer research budget goes to this devastating disease. That just isn’t right!
I’m raising funds for Brain Tumour Research, the only charity in the UK dedicated to long-term, sustainable research. Their work is crucial, and I truly believe that together we can help find a cure.
Every mile I run is for Kevin and everyone affected by brain tumours. Your support would mean the world to me. Let’s join forces and help make a real impact!
