1,000 Miles in 24 Hours – Will You Back My Ride for Francis House?
On Saturday, 1st August 2026, I am taking on a big physical and mental challenge. I am hopping on my motorbike to ride a gruelling 1,000-mile endurance ride in under 24 hours—all to raise vital funds for Francis House Children’s Hospice.
While hospitals focus on curing illness, Francis House focuses entirely on the care of children and young people for whom a cure is unlikely. They provide comfort, dignity, and high-quality clinical care, alongside essential short-term rest and bereavement support for their families. Because their life-changing services are provided completely free of charge, they rely almost entirely on donations to survive.
To help them, I am pushing myself to the absolute limit. A 1,000-mile journey in a single day requires relentless focus, physical endurance, and round-the-clock navigation. It mirrors the exhausting, non-stop reality faced by the families Francis House supports every single day.
How you can help:
I am funding the entire cost of the fuel, food, and bike maintenance myself. This means 100% of your donation goes directly to Francis House. Whether you can spare the cost of a coffee or want to sponsor a chunk of the map, every penny makes a massive difference:
£10 could help fund play therapy materials for a staying child.
£25 could help pay for a home-cooked meal for a family staying at the hospice.
£50 could contribute toward vital respite care or specialist nursing support.
If you cannot donate, please consider sharing my page with your friends, family, or colleagues.
Pushing through the night on 1st August will be tough, but knowing I have your backing will keep my wheels turning.
Thank you so much for your time, generosity, and support.
With matching gratitude,
Endurance Rider for Francis House Children’s Hospice
