Story
Ive spent most of my adult life in the military and have deployed all over the world.
I have been lucky enough to emerge unscathed... many of my friends and colleagues were not so fortunate. It was the honour of my career to lead Hasler Company - the Royal Navy's Recovery Centre - where we looked after the most seriously wounded, injured and sick personnel. I am friends with, and have worked alongside, people with serious mental and physical health conditions.
Since leaving the military I have worked in military mental health - I am currently the operational lead for mental health at Walking with the Wounded - serving those who served
The vast majority of veterans leave the military with no issues and transition quickly into civilian life and continue as productive members of society a few aren't quite ao lucky and their transition is less smooth - thats where walking with the wounded can help
Please help Walking with the Wounded to better support the small percentage of veterans who need out help to rebuild lives, relationships and careers

Training for North Devons off road marathon. Its either sand or very hilly!
