Macmillan Caring Locally works in partnership with the NHS to fund the Macmillan Unit, a Hospice and specialist palliative care unit at Christchurch Hospital in Dorset. Please note that we are not connected in any way to the national charity Macmillan Cancer Support.

Story

In September 2023, our friend and colleague James Barber tragically passed away at the age of 37 after a brave, courageous battle with bladder cancer. It was the incredible staff from the Macmillan Caring Locally team who provided the ‘Hospice at Home’ service which allowed James to spend his last precious weeks with his family and as much time as possible with his beautiful daughter Kate.

As a business we have done some amazing events over the year to raise money for our chosen charity and to add to this in April James and Skyla will be running the Southampton Marathon.

This is a first for both of them and going to be quite a challenge so any donations are greatly appreciated for this brilliant cause.
