Mark, Jack and Chris join the Yeds walk for Rob

Yeds Walk For Rob · 28 July 2024
Even if you’re not into rugby, we’ll probably know the name Rob Burrow. Rob was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) aged 37, after retiring from a highly successful national and international rugby career.
Rob’s MND journey inspired so many, especially his determination, courage, sense of family and enduring friendships. Rob was instrumental in raising awareness of MND, as well as £6 million for MND awareness and treatment charities.
In memory of Rob’s life and legacy, we want to help to continue raising money for this vital cause. We are father and son Mark and Jack Shaw, lifelong Oldham Fans, and our friend Chris Mawdsley, a Castleford Tigers lifer.
Inspired by Rob, on 28th July, we’ll travel up from Swindon to join supporters of Oldham Rugby League Club in a walk from their ground, Boundary Park, to their fixture against Rochdale.
Rugby League is a community sport and we’re proud to be part of that community. We’d love it if you could support us to support the MND Association with whatever donation you can afford.
Help us to continue the amazing work that was so wonderfully championed by Rob, and give hope and support to others with MND.
