I'm hopefully becoming a world record holder shortly in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. I've spent most of the year making a daft idea become a reality. So, if you support great daft ideas, I'd appreciate if you could fund me. Here's the story.

Earlier this year, two other Marks and I had lunch;.One of these Marks (Taylor) was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. We had a daft idea. What if we had a golf day where everyone was called Mark to raise awareness and funds for Prostate Cancer UK?

That daft idea over lunch has now become an extraordinary awareness-raising and fundraising initiative. Sir Mark Rylance and Dame Judy Dench are among those who are now urging us on. On 21st September at Royal Blackheath Golf Club, an official England Golf Record will be set for the most people playing in a golf competition with the same name - Mark. Mark Foster, world record swimmer and Mark Bright football legend is playing. Marks from 65 clubs across the UK are travelling almost 20,000 miles to play.

For one remarkable day, a shared name will brings together men with powerful stories of friendship, loss and survival and a determination to raise funds and get other men talking about Prostate Cancer.
