I am raising money for the St Vincent de Paul Society (SVP).

On Friday 17th April 2026, I completed 109km (68 miles) of the the Camino de Santiago . The trek took 6 days to complete, and thanks be to God I arrived in pretty good shape. No blisters! Walking up to 14 miles per day was a challenge at times, but incredibly I got fitter as the journey progresed. The experience exceeded all my expectations. The Galician countryside was magnificent. Meeting fellow pilgrims from all parts of the world was rewarding. I enjoyed being part of a group of 17 SVP members from around the UK, all on the same wavelength. With Mass celebrated most days, the experience was spiritually uplifting. For me the Camino was a lifetime transforming experience, and all in a good cause. I can highly recommend it! The SVP is a nationwide front line charity dedicated to tackling poverty and supporting individuals and families facing loneliness, hardship and the wide range of challenges that life can throw up. The money I raise will be split 50/50 between National SVP and the SVP conference based at St Augustine’s Church Tunbridge Wells.
