Story
Our aim is to raise enough to upgrade and develop the multi-sensory garden at Fiveways Day Centre. The paving is no longer suitable for all mobility needs and the greenhouse would be for supported planting activities. A water feature, wind chimes, ample seating throughout with areas for growing fruit and vegetables, trees, shrubs and berries.
Clients continue to enjoy the ambience and activities available at Dundee Age Concern's vibrant Fiveways Day Care Centre. We are happy to see clients having fun at the Centre, carers and families can get respite knowing their loved one is well supported at Fiveways.
Westend Walkers will do the Dundee Kilt walk to raise funds for Dundee Age Concern, a local self-funded charity that will be eighty years old next year. Your support will be greatly appreciated. We are a group who meet every Monday for a walk and a blether. We car share to explore the many beautiful scenes in Scotland and we usually walk between 6 - 9 miles.
I have been a volunteer Trustee with Dundee Age Concern for many years and know the value of all Community-based Fundraising that helps augment the income for our service. We do not get support from Dundee City Council so totally rely on the kindness of funders.
