Marshalls IT Cycling fundraiser for Building Heroes Education Foundation

James Malcolm is raising money for Building Heroes Education Foundation

The Lakes and Dales Loop Charity Bike Ride. 18th - 20th Sept

Helping military Service Leavers, Veterans, reserves and military family members access barrier free training and achieve a seamless transition into the civilian workplace. Leading to a gateway of construction employment opportunities and supporting successful civilian lives.

Story

On the 18th September 6 budding cyclists and work colleagues (David Rushworth, Andrew Worsley, Nick Thornton, James Malcolm, Jess Murgatroyd & Scott Border) will be setting off on a cycling challenge which will see us ride 200 miles starting in the Yorkshire Dales and then circumnavigating the vast Lake District National Park.

We are raising money for the "Building Heroes" charity who do a fantastic job helping veterans transition from service into civilian life through providing opportunities within the construction industry. Many veterans face significant barriers to finding meaningful work, leading to unemployment or social isolation. Building Heroes changes lives by providing veterans, service leavers, and their families with a 'gateway' to second careers in the construction industry.
