We're looking forward to seeing you for the third edition of the Marsh Cricket Day, both teams are gearing up to win the trophy that dwarfs The Ashes in both size and prestige. We're also looking forward to raising money for a fantastic initiative.

The charity partner this year is the Social Mobility Foundation, founded in 2005 to directly support young people in progressing their careers and education, and influence employers to promote accessibility.

Today, the Aspiring Professionals Programme – which welcomes thousands of young people each year – is one of three ways that the SMF promote social mobility. Their Social Mobility Employer Index encourages employers to create more diverse workplaces, and the SMF's Department for Opportunities campaigns and lobbies on social mobility issues.

The SMF's core principle is that success should be determined by ability, not where you were born, went to school, or the occupation of your parents or guardians. Talent is everywhere in the UK, but opportunity is not and we can all change that.
