Story
Mental health is something a lot of people have but it’s not always something we talk about. As 1 in 4 people experience a mental health problem each year in England.
I’m one of those people. Most people who know me will say I’m always smiling, always carrying on like everything’s fine. The truth is, I’ve struggled with anxiety and depression to the point where I needed to seek help. I’ve always been a very closed book and opening up isn’t something that comes naturally to me but I want to be honest, because I know how important it is.
That’s why I’m taking on a 24-hour charity stream for Mind. This amazing charity helps people when they need it most, and I want to do my part to raise awareness and remind people that it’s okay to reach out for help.
If sharing my story and pushing myself through this challenge can help even one person realise they’re not alone, then it’s worth it. Together, we can support better mental health for everyone.
