Story
Alex, Amy, Sinead, Max, and Maya have voluntarily agreed to swap Waltham, teams meetings & sensible shoes for hundreds of miles of cycling, questionable weather, and the kind of wind resistance that makes you question all your life choices by mile 20. Over the course of the ride, they’ll be powering from London all the way to Amsterdam, raising money for GroceryAid, which provides essential support to people across the grocery industry when they need it most. Every mile they suffer… sorry, cycle… helps make a real difference.
We expect the journey to include:
• Enthusiastic early starts
• At least one “why is the wind always in our face?” moment
• A strong relationship with energy gels
• And an entirely justified post-ride search for carbs (probably waffles… & maybe a beer or two at the finishing line)
For Alex, Maya and Max, this will be their very first ride — so they’re still blissfully unaware of what they’ve signed up for. Meanwhile, this will be Amy and Sinead’s second time taking on the challenge, which probably raises more questions than answers about their decision-making skills.
If you can, please show your support — encouragement, donations (link below), and general cheering-from-the-sidelines are all very welcome.
Thank you in advance for your support & donations!
