Hi! I am taking on the Tough Mudder challenge on the 7th of July to support two amazing local charities - Fairplay and Babbington Dog Rescue through the Minorfern Foundation.

The Tough Mudder is a 10+ mile run with over 20 obstacles, and it's going to be a huge challenge for me personally, especially with that 4-degree ice pit already giving me nightmares! But I am ready to challenge my limits and maybe even enjoy some parts of it... Though sliding down into a 6-foot deep mud pit, with a climb up a sheer wall of mud to get out, sounds like fun! :D But most importantly, there is a bigger reason for doing this - together as a team, we can make a difference for these two great causes.

Working alongside the Matthew Good Foundation, SDL Minorfern has set up the Minorfern Foundation with the goal of donating £40,000 annually to a selection of chosen, small regional charities. For this challenge, we will be supporting Fairplay - which supports children and young people with disabilities, as well as their families across North Derbyshire - and Babbington Dog Rescue, which has been caring for stray and abandoned dogs since 1993 and has found homes for nearly 10,000 dogs!
