On the 21st of September I will be involved in the Alzheimer's/dementia society memory walk, I won't be doing this alone as colleagues and some very special residents of St Alban's care home along with there families will be walking along side of me.

I have worked in and out of the care industry for 10 years and have seen and experienced the emotional toll of the desiese on both patients and families.I am so privileged to have a job that positively impacts the lives of individuals suffering with this illness

On a more personal level my beautiful and brave mumgu (nan) lost her fight to the illness and my other sweet nan is currently living with it.

On the 21st of September I am walking for my place of work and the amazing individuals who work and live there, I am walking for my 2 grandmothers and I am walking for everyone else who has been effected by this awful illness in some way!!!
