I am part of a team from the Litigation & Trial department in the London office of Latham & Watkins who are taking on a hiking challenge in Chamonix in September 2024. We will be climbing two peaks in two days, gaining more elevation than climbing Ben Nevis & Snowdon, and at twice the altitude!

The team are doing so to raise money to support children's education in Nepal. Classrooms in the Clouds (https://www.citcnepal.org/) is a charity which builds classrooms and sponsors teachers to support sustainable education for Nepalese children in the remotest, poorest regions of Nepal. CitC works with local communities and other NGOs in Nepal to develop safe and healthy school environments. Below are a few examples of the difference a donation to this incredible charity can make!

• £8 = 1 day’s salary for a CITC teacher

• £10 = 3 Nepali books for the school libraries

• £15 = 3 reusable menstrual kits for young women in school

• £30 = First Aid Kit for a school

• £50 = 20 books for a school library in Nepal

• £100 = A sink with a tap for clean water

• £1,000 = pipework for a clean water system
