So I did a thing! Probably a drunken thing! 😂 After completing my first Park Run I thought wouldn't it be a great idea to apply for the London Marathon, thinking I'd never get a place through the ballot at my first time of applying. Well what do you know! You can get a place. Having been lucky enough to get a place I thought if I'm going to do this I'm going to do it in aid of a good cause. The Severn Hospice is close to my families heart as both my mother-in-law and mother were both cared for at the Shrewsbury Severn Hospice during their last weeks. It brought great comfort to our family to know that they were both looked after so well during their last weeks, with dignity and care by the staff at the hospice, in such a calm and peaceful environment.

I'll be running the marathon in memory of my mum (Janet Davies) and my wife's mum (Gerry luke) and hoping to raise as much sponsorship for Severn Hospice along the way.
