This year I am running the Great North Run to raise money for the amazing Durham Trinity Special School. They do such a good job supporting children with special educational needs to grow and develop, including my son James. The children at the school often require specialist equipment and the friends of the school charity helps raise money for such to ensure the children can continue to learn and develop.

I first ran the Great North Run last year and due to illness and laziness I was back to being completely unfit and unprepared at the start of the year. I have been training pretty well and hoping to knock 15 mins at least off my time from last year.
