Glasgow Kiltwalk 2024 · 28 April 2024 ·

Founded in 1984, we're the UK charity for all affected by Addison's disease and adrenal insufficiency. We work to support and promote better medical understanding of this rare, life-threatening condition. All donations go to our 'unrestricted' funds, to help us in this vital work.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page. I’ll be raising money for Addison’s Disease Self Help Group after being diagnosed with this rare disease in 2021 after a period of serious illness.

Addison’s Disease is a rare disorder of the adrenal glands which produce essential hormones: cortisol, aldosterone and adrenaline. My adrenal glands no longer work and I am on life long medication to replicate what the body no longer produces. Doing the kiltwalk will be a massive challenge but one that I’m looking forward to!

Please help me raise funds to help research better treatment for this rare disease.

Thanks
