YMCA Northamptonshire believe every young person should have a safe place to call home.

Their new project based at Derngate, Northampton, will provide a home and a range of support for care experienced young people aged 18-21.

They understand the importance of creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where young people feel like they belong as soon as they step through our door.

Our young people must feel safe and secure; in fact, it should be a priority.

The YMCA passionate and dedicated staff are there to support them, fostering a sense of community and developing meaningful relationships. They believe in helping young people find their meaning and purpose.

Over 3 years, 3 stages, YMCA Northamptonshire will provide residents with not just a home but the support they need to achieve their potential.

I have raised funds for YMCA in Milton Keynes by sleeping out, and trust me, it isn't a pleasant experience. With just a sleeping bag, plastic sheet, and cardboard to lay on, it's an eye-opening experience, and people live like this often because they fall through the net through no fault of their own.

I'd like us to do something about it. Together, we can raise awareness and much-needed funding to help this worthwhile charity initiative.
