Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

As some of you may know, and many of you will not, my amazing Mum is battling MS.

MS is a cruel disease which affects the brain and spinal cord, gradually wearing down the nervous system causing increased symptoms in anything from memory problems, pain and fatigue to blindness and/or paralysis.

Now my Mum is not one to cause a fuss, she’s never one to complain, and is typically heard telling everyone within earshot that’s ‘she’s fine, she’s good she’s alright’ etc

Unfortunately though it isn’t fine…

Each week, 130 people are diagnosed with MS in the UK - a total of 7000 people a year - and over 130,000 people live with the life changing, debilitating effects of MS day in, day out.

So, no time like the present to make a difference ey?

I’m putting my running shoes on and I’m running 130k a month, every month, for the rest of the f*cking year 🫠 That’s 1430km, the equivalent of 888miles or 33 marathons - f*ck me.

If you know me then you’ll know I hate running but, seeing as I have the ability to do something it feels like I don’t have a choice but to attempt to make a small difference.

Track me on strava and if you would like to join the fight against this b*stard of a disease, please consider donating below. Together we can STOP MS 👇🏼
