Story
I am taking part in the Capability Scotland Falkirk Wheel Abseil to give something back to such an amazing cause.
I suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while at work on Friday 17 September 2021. Due to lack of the oxygen to my brain I was left with anoxic brain damage. I was referred to Capability Scotland by my rehabilitation consultant and they have helped me to rebuild my confidence, meet lots of new people and make new friends. They helped me to secure a volunteer placement with The British Heart Foundation which I thoroughly enjoy.
The Capability Scotland team in Dumfries have been incredibly supportive to not only me, but also my wife Tracy. They are an extension of our family and we would love to give back as much as we can.
If you can, we would greatly appreciate your help and support to raise as much money as possible for this amazing organisation to allow them to offer their services to others in the future.
Capability Scotland works tirelessly to ensure that every disabled person we support can realise their full potential. Toddler groups, school and college-level education, day services packed with fun activities and learning experiences, support at home, respite for carers and exemplary residential services; we can do so much already. The scope to do more, with your help, is limitless.
