Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
In August, I will be taking part in the Policy Unity Tour riding from central London to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, raising money for the Care Of Police Survivors (COPS) charity.
This will be the eighth time I have ridden the Tour, having ridden in 2016-19, then 2021-22 and again last year. The route is just under 200 miles over 3 days which is not far short of the 260 total miles I have so far ridden in 2025. So some training from here is probably required!!
COPS supports the families of officers killed whilst on duty & aims to ensure that they have the assistance they need to cope with their loss & keeps them in touch with the rest of the Police family. Having ridden the Tour several times now, I have seen this support in action & how much it means to survivor families.
Once again, it will be an honour to ride in memory of PC Cheryl Lloyd who died whilst responding to a call in Ipswich in 2005. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Cheryl's death and I know how much it means to Cheryl's family that, by my doing this, they know that she is not forgotten.
Any money you can afford for this worthy cause would be greatly appreciated. Oh, & don't forget to add the Gift Aid.
We ride for those who died.
Many thanks,
Martin
