This year I am challenging myself to run the 2024 Dublin marathon and I will be doing so in aid of ASCERT.

ASCERT is a charity which presents a mission close to home for me. In 2018 I lost my father to alcohol addiction and I've seen the damaging effects of substance misuse, both to the individual with the illness, and to those around them that try to support them. I am representing ASCERT in order to raise awareness to the help that is out there for anybody that is struggling with addiction either directly for themselves, or indirectly through family members and friends. All funds raised will go to ASCERT to support communities all across NI. Thank you!😊

The mission of ASCERT: "ASCERT support over 10,000 young people, families & adults annually throughout NI dealing with issues relating to drug, alcohol & substance misuse, reducing harm & supporting positive change.

We address these issues directly providing approaches to strengthen resilience delivering effective interventions reducing risk factors caused by substance use.

We believe there is hope in every situation & with the right hope at the right time, every person can achieve change for the better.
