Soooo, I have made the decision to take on an event that I have previously said "Not a chance" to. I am about to take part in a "Challenge event" up in Scotland, "The Speyside 100". As the title suggests, its a 100 mile walk which has to be completed in under 48 hours through the Speyside area, North of the Border. This endeavour is in support of The Lincolnshire And Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust, an organization that provides vital assistance to those in need, including individuals involved in motorcycle accidents and hillwalking mishaps. The event date is set for May 25/26/27, 2024. As someone connected with both the motorcycle community and the hillwalking/mountaineering world, I understand the importance of having access to emergency services, especially in remote areas where accidents can occur. My goal is to raise £500 for this crucial cause, and I am reaching out to you for your support. Whilst I realise there aren't too many mountains locally, we can all trip/slip and stumble whilst in the local "wilds" for instance. As for the motorcycle riders and racers amongst us, most of us will know at least one person who has had valuable assistance from the Air Ambulance, even if we haven't had to call on the services ourselves when we have been spat off !! Please give generously...you know it makes sense
